Hey Greg! This is Moumita from India. I'm a Bengali and I've learned so many things from you. But I have two questions. What should I say if I'm in a place for the first? And why should I said that (I mean please explain the reason)? - 1️⃣ "I have never come here before" or, 2️⃣ "I never came here before" Please please please tell me the answers🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️🙇🏻‍♀️

Hey, Greg! I have already watched some of your videos. I love the way you teach. However, I have a doubt in this video. I think you just focused only on backshifting the tense in the reported speech, not on changing the words of time and place accordingly. For example, "Have you been living here long?" Your answer was: She asked whether I had been living here long. As far as I know.. When we use "here", then it means the speaker still lives in the same place, so he/she doesn't have to backshift the tense and can keep up the present perfect continuous (have been living). Or, if we backshift the tense, we should change "here" into "there" as well. So, I don't know why you didn't change the time and place words accordingly. If you reply to me regarding this, it will be very helpful for me to understand the reported speech better.

You've already explained that after "LIKE" or "NOT LIKE" we use the "GERUND"-form but immediately after that in 4:28 you say: "Which I LIKE TO THINK of...." instead of saying: "Which I LIKE THINKING of..." So then???

Please enlighen me.."The politicians are strongly opposed to the change" i assume this is an independent clause...my question is..why do you use 2 verbs (are and opposed to) in 1 independent clause?... isnt it violate the rules of grammar?..from what i've known,in one clause you can only used 1 subject and 1 verb

That's interesting that after "wish" the following "would" is possible. When I studied at college we were taught that after "wish" there should be only Past Tense. Like "I wish you didn't play the music so loud". English is full of surprises! :) Now I know that this option is possible. Thank you for the video!
